Hyon AS develops zero-emission solutions for the production and fueling of hydrogen for ships in Norway. Their solutions takes advantage of empty ferry positions during the night to produce hydrogen using carbon-neutral electricity from offshore wind farms. For projects that are located on land, they can produce hydrogen using excess electricity from existing processors such as existing gas stations or refineries. The hydrogen is stored at their facility and is supplied to ships via long underwater pipes that are connected directly to the ship’s fuel tank. Hyon AS was founded in 2017 and is headquartered in Oslo, Norway.
