AGM 2026 presentation summary
23 Oct, 2026Strategy and market opportunity
Four-pillar strategy: grow GaN laser market share, deepen U.S. government relationships, extend technology leadership and partnerships, and pursue organic and inorganic growth and integration.
Laser-enabled markets cited at $150B TAM by 2030; selected priority markets represent a $4.6B system-level opportunity, including defense and aerospace, quantum, industrial and microelectronics, biotech and consumer applications.
Visible GaN lasers are positioned for applications where wavelength, power, beam quality, precision, form factor or integration affect performance; defense modernization, quantum investment and sovereign supply-chain priorities are cited as demand drivers.
U.S. and allied government priorities are accelerating adoption of sovereign, domestically manufactured laser technologies for defense systems and quantum infrastructure.
Platform and commercial validation
End-to-end visible GaN capabilities span epitaxy and materials, device design and fabrication, packaging and integration, across specialized facilities in Sydney, Silicon Valley and New Hampshire.
Differentiators include customization, proprietary IP, manufacturing flexibility, precision, power and stability; active programs span U.S. government, defense and aerospace, data storage, quantum photonics, med-tech and advanced photonics.
Customer-funded development is progressing through evaluation, funded development, qualification and prototype testing toward product orders; production and recurring agreements remain potential outcomes, not guarantees.
FY26 proof points included CLAWS Year 1–3 milestones completed, a ~A$1.25M Tier-1 defense program, a ~A$1.3M Fortune 500 collaboration, a ~A$190K TOPTICA order and Uviquity Phase II commitment of ~A$1.4M.
Single-spatial-mode performance reached 1.9 W in FY26, up from 1.25 W in 2025; reliability, yield, wavelength expansion and product qualification are key next steps.
FY26 financial position
FY26 capital raised was A$14.6M; an A$8M Rockford non-dilutive debt facility supports operating expenditure, capital expenditure and project execution.
At 30 June 2026, cash was A$2.55M and net assets were A$11.34M; customer receipts were A$4.23M.
Laser product revenue was A$498K, up 36%; laser project revenue declined 25% amid U.S. government shutdowns, while legacy Foundry revenue declined 9%.
Gross expenditure was A$20.87M, 8% favorable; operating cash outflow was A$8.30M and consolidated loss was A$10.39M.
U.S. funding delays and continuing-resolution constraints delayed 1H FY26 awards and revenue; customer-funded programs awarded in 2H contributed to stronger Q4 project revenue, with quarterly variability expected from milestone-driven work.
