Investor Day 2026 summary
6 Oct, 2026AI strategy and operating model
AI is positioned as human-led enterprise redesign—not a move to become an AI vendor—building on digital foundations and 500+ live projects to improve customer outcomes, workflows and efficiency.
A shared data platform and secure, sovereign, open AI stack use partner models and switchable tools, with guardrails and ROI-based controls to limit lock-in.
Delivery combines centrally selected major bets with business-led adoption; product teams and forward-deployed engineers redesign processes, with business owners accountable for adoption and ROI.
Employee AI use reached 83% in May 2026, with 250,000+ enablements since 2023; the ambition is broad access, reskilling and responsible workforce change.
Financial outlook and monetization
2027 AI and automation gross savings are ~€1.1bn, €0.3bn above the prior ~€0.8bn target; the 2030 target is ~€2.5bn, or ~15% of indirect costs vs. 2023.
2030 gross savings targets vs. 2023 are 10–15% in Network, 15–20% in IT, 20–30% in Sales & Service and ~10% in G&A/other; token costs are excluded.
External AI revenue is targeted at ~€800m by 2030, with ~€250m expected in 2026; separate AI infrastructure revenue potential is €1bn, principally from inference data centers.
AI could generate 1%–1.5% aggregate B2C growth through lower churn and upsell; Sales & Service targets 20%–30% savings before token costs.
2027 ex-U.S. targets are adjusted EBITDA AL of ~€16bn and FCF AL of €3.7–3.9bn; AI savings support digital transformation and fiber expansion.
Network transformation
2030 ambition is Level 4 autonomy for high-value use cases, with human intervention by exception; mobile CXI target is above 4 for over 90% of customers, alongside 10%–15% network gross savings.
RAN Guardian expanded event coverage from 1,000 to 100,000 and delivered >95% faster execution; it aims to protect 24m+ customer minutes from poor experience.
MINDR combines diagnostics, remediation and learning across network domains; targets include automatic handling of 90% of tickets, qualification under 15 minutes and resolution under one hour.
AI-enabled fiber construction reported 15% higher quality, 20% of false invoices corrected and 100% automated documentation; similar CapEx now connects 3x+ as many customers as three years ago.
AI-native 6G is positioned for physical AI, sensing and connectivity beyond conventional data services.
