Study update summary
14 Oct, 2026Phase I results
All 12 patients in the CARMA dose-escalation phase were treated and evaluated for preliminary efficacy at least at one-month follow-up; no dose-limiting toxicities were observed across three cohorts, and ELC-301 was well tolerated.
CMR rate was 67% (8/12), ORR 92% (11/12) and disease control rate 100% (12/12).
Six of the eight patients who achieved CMR remain in CMR; two later progressed after responding. One patient had confirmed CMR for at least 18 months and another for at least 12 months.
All three patients who had relapsed after prior CAR T-cell therapy achieved disease control; two had an objective response, including one CMR.
Patients generally had extensive prior treatment, including multiple chemotherapy lines, stem cell transplantation and, in three cases, prior CAR T-cell therapy.
Study design and next steps
CARMA evaluates ELC-301 in relapsed or refractory B-cell lymphoma after at least two prior standard-treatment lines, for patients with no remaining curative treatment options.
Phase I enrolled 12 patients across three dose cohorts to establish dose and safety; Phase IIa will evaluate six additional patients at the maximum tolerated dose.
The Swedish Medical Products Agency approved a substantial trial modification permitting Phase IIa; recruitment is expected to begin in Q4 2026.
ELC-301 and iTANK
ELC-301 is a fourth-generation CD20-targeting CAR T-cell therapy armed with the iTANK platform to activate a broader parallel immune response against cancer.
