Barclays 27th Annual Global Healthcare Conference presentation summary
18 Sep, 2026Strategic transformation and separation
Plans underway to separate into two publicly traded entities, each with distinct focus areas and strategies to maximize growth and shareholder value.
One entity will focus on global oncology leadership in cell therapies, while the other (SpinCo) will build a pipeline in oncology, immunology, and virology through acquisitions and licensing.
SpinCo will assume the collaboration agreement with Gilead and continue to leverage their expertise.
Each company will have autonomy to allocate resources and pursue tailored strategies.
All shareholders will receive SpinCo shares proportional to their current holdings.
Innovation in cell therapy and manufacturing
Decentralized manufacturing model enables scalable, consistent production of fresh cell therapies near clinics, reducing logistical and cost burdens.
The Cocoon® Platform provides automated, closed-system cell culture, supporting GMP compliance and global scalability.
Next-generation, multi-targeting, armored cell therapies are being developed for hematological and solid tumors.
Strengthening US capabilities in preparation for the launch of the first CAR-T therapy.
Clinical pipeline and efficacy data
Robust cell therapy pipeline includes CD19 CAR-T (GLPG5101), BCMA CAR-T, and TCR-T programs targeting high unmet needs in hematological and solid tumors.
ATALANTA-1 study shows high response rates: 100% CR in MCL, 95% in FL/MZL, and 54% in DLBCL (71% at higher dose).
Durable responses observed, with 80% of evaluable CR patients being MRD negative and remaining in CR at data cutoff.
Manageable safety profile for GLPG5101, with only isolated Grade 3 adverse events.
