AEye Inc. is a lidar system design house providing autonomous systems for automotive, ADAS, and robotics applications. They have partnered with some of the leading Tier 1 suppliers in the self-driving ecosystem that are driving the paradigm shift in vehicle autonomy. AEye's proprietary nanolaser technology enables them to achieve orders of magnitude cost reduction for Velodyne-class LIDARs. The company has developed a proprietary scanning lidar sensor referred to as the EyeQ. The EyeQ scanner uses a rasterized laser beam instead of a rotating mirror to scan the environment in order to provide 3D point-cloud data, thereby enabling high frame rate operation and long lifetime operation.
