Allegro MicroSystems Inc. incorporated on May 20, 1991, designs, develops, manufactures and markets sensor integrated circuits (ICs) and application-specific analog power ICs for motion control and energy-efficient systems. The Company also develops and commercializes photonic components for LiDAR and imaging applications. Allegro’s product portfolio includes position sensor ICs, such as linear Hall-effect sensors, hall-effect latches and power ICs to interface with microcontrollers; current sensors that include unidirectional and bidirectional current shunt monitors with dc comparators for power supply applications; magnetic speed sensors that contain an embedded Hall-effect element and signal conditioning circuitry providing a sine wave output; magnetic rotation sensors with digital outputs offering design flexibility to incorporate into end equipment; motor drivers that include bridge drivers supporting half-bridge, full-bridge motor configurations or low side output configurations; LED controller/drivers that provide current regulation to LEDs illumination devices; regulators that include low voltage step-down converters with optional feedback resistor divider programmability; automotive power management devices comprising multi-channel motor drivers aimed at electric vehicle steering systems; open-loop linear regulators aimed at automobiles.
