Executive summary
Net sales for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, rose 2.1% year-over-year to ¥72,725 million, but operating profit declined 7.6% to ¥2,541 million and profit attributable to owners of parent fell 10.4% to ¥1,720 million.
Comprehensive income decreased 15.4% year-over-year to ¥1,672 million.
Financial highlights
Gross profit increased to ¥20,544 million from ¥20,264 million year-over-year.
Operating profit dropped to ¥2,541 million from ¥2,749 million, and ordinary profit fell to ¥2,647 million from ¥2,835 million.
Basic earnings per share decreased to ¥19.45 from ¥21.62 year-over-year.
Net cash provided by operating activities was ¥2,774 million, down from ¥4,337 million in the prior year.
Outlook and guidance
Full-year net sales forecast for fiscal year ending March 31, 2027, is ¥300,000 million, up 1.5% year-over-year.
Operating profit is projected to decline 4.0% to ¥11,700 million, and profit attributable to owners of parent is expected to decrease 9.1% to ¥8,000 million.
