Executive summary
Consolidated profit after tax for Q2 FY26 was ₹1,559 crore, up from ₹1,436 crore in Q2 FY25; standalone profit after tax was ₹2,181 crore, up from ₹1,051 crore.
For H1 FY26, consolidated profit after tax reached ₹5,046 crore (vs. ₹3,047 crore in H1 FY25); standalone profit after tax was ₹4,217 crore (vs. ₹1,117 crore).
Sale of 1.04 crore shares of Bajaj Finserv Limited generated a profit of ₹1,983 crore (standalone) and ₹1,522 crore (consolidated), included as an exceptional item.
Interim dividend of ₹65 per share (₹723 crore) was declared and paid in October 2025.
Financial highlights
Q2 FY26 consolidated total income: ₹410 crore (vs. ₹293 crore in Q2 FY25); H1 FY26: ₹747 crore (vs. ₹441 crore in H1 FY25).
Standalone total income for Q2 FY26: ₹2,514 crore (vs. ₹1,143 crore in Q2 FY25); H1 FY26: ₹2,822 crore (vs. ₹1,282 crore in H1 FY25).
Share of profits from associates in Q2 FY26: ₹1,617 crore; H1 FY26: ₹3,511 crore.
Excluding profit on sale of BFS shares, H1 FY26 consolidated profit after tax was ₹3,665 crore (vs. ₹3,047 crore in H1 FY25).
Other comprehensive income (standalone) for Q2 FY26 was negative ₹401 crore; total comprehensive income was ₹1,780 crore.
Outlook and guidance
The company is realigning its investment portfolio to comply with RBI's Core Investment Company (CIC) guidelines.
Ongoing acquisition of up to 19.95% equity stake in two insurance companies, with regulatory approvals received and completion expected by October 2026.
