Executive summary
Consolidated profit after tax surged to ₹3,487 crore in Q1 FY26 from ₹1,610 crore in Q1 FY25, driven by a significant profit on sale of Bajaj Finserv shares and strong associate performance.
Standalone profit after tax rose to ₹2,036 crore in Q1 FY26 from ₹66 crore in Q1 FY25, with a one-time gain from the Bajaj Finserv transaction.
Excluding the exceptional gain, consolidated profit after tax was ₹2,106 crore and standalone profit after tax was ₹194 crore in Q1 FY26.
Financial highlights
Total consolidated income for Q1 FY26 was ₹338 crore, up from ₹148 crore in Q1 FY25.
Profit on sale of Bajaj Finserv shares contributed ₹1,522 crore to consolidated results and ₹1,983 crore to standalone results.
Share of profits from associates was ₹1,893 crore in Q1 FY26, up from ₹1,540 crore in Q1 FY25.
Basic and diluted consolidated EPS for Q1 FY26 was ₹313.3, compared to ₹144.7 in Q1 FY25.
Net asset value per share stood at ₹21,080 as of June 30, 2025, versus a book value of ₹1,978 per share.
Outlook and guidance
The company is realigning its investment portfolio to comply with RBI's Core Investment Company (CIC) guidelines.
Realised profit on sale of non-group equity investments was ₹2,106 crore in Q1 FY26.
