Executive summary
Revenue increased 4.3% to £18.7m, profit after tax up over 16%, and interim dividend rose 17.2% to 3.4p per share.
Franchise sales rose 7.6%–8.1%, with like-for-like sales up 2% and online sales up 16.6%, now over 22% of franchise store sales.
Seven new stores opened in H1, with management expecting to exceed 25 new openings for the year.
Customer database grew 40%, and loyalty scheme launched, reaching 63,000 subscribers.
Brand awareness and online visits up 8% and 40% respectively, with SMS subscriptions up 48%.
Financial highlights
Group revenue up 4.3% year-over-year to £18.7m; gross profit up 11.5% and gross margin up 350 bps to 53.8%.
EBITDA rose nearly 12% to £3.5m; profit after tax up 16.4%; basic EPS up 16.4% to 5.18p.
Net cash position at £5.6m after CapEx, dividends, and land purchase; cash at bank £6.7m.
Interim dividend of 3.4p per share to be paid on 12 December 2024.
Free cash flow conversion declined due to working capital investment.
Outlook and guidance
Entered H2 with strong momentum; October franchise sales up 9.9% and like-for-like sales up 4% year-over-year.
Online sales in October up 23%, now 23.9% of franchise store sales.
On track to exceed 25 new store openings for the year and confident in meeting market expectations.
