Executive summary
Global business grew 13.55% year-over-year to INR 2,678,963 crore, with advances up 13.74% and deposits up 13.40%.
Net profit increased 18.93% year-over-year to INR 4,774 crore, and operating profit rose 12.2% to INR 8,588 crore.
Asset quality improved, with gross NPA at 2.35% (down 138 bps) and net NPA at 0.54% (down 45 bps) year-over-year.
Unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results for H1 FY2025-26 showed continued growth in income and profitability.
Return on assets improved to 1.12% and return on net worth to 20.56%.
Financial highlights
Net interest income for the quarter was INR 9,141 crore, up 1.47% sequentially; total income reached INR 38,598 crore, up 11.17% year-over-year.
Non-interest income surged 41.62% year-over-year to INR 7,054 crore, driven by higher fee-based and treasury income.
Standalone net profit for H1 FY2025-26 was INR 9,525.99 crore, up from INR 7,919.81 crore year-over-year.
Gross NPA declined to 2.35%, net NPA at 0.54%, and provision coverage ratio improved to 93.59%.
Earnings per share at 21.01, up 21% year-over-year.
Outlook and guidance
11 out of 13 annual guidance parameters already achieved; working to meet CASA and NIM targets.
NIM (global) at 2.52% was below the 2.75–2.80% guidance, but asset quality and profitability metrics surpassed guidance.
Net profit for the year expected to surpass INR 20,000 crore, up from INR 17,400 crore last year.
The bank continues to focus on asset quality, capital adequacy, and digital banking expansion.
