Executive summary
H1 FY27 premiums, APE, VNB and embedded value grew; PAT was ₹7,119 lakh, up 11% YoY, while 13-month persistency improved and 61-month persistency and solvency declined.
Strategic focus remains profitable growth, broader distribution, customer centricity, technology and risk governance.
Financial highlights
Individual WPI was ₹11,167 Mn, up 15% YoY; total APE was ₹12,497 Mn, up 14%; renewal premium was ₹27,583 Mn, up 18%.
Gross premium reached ₹47,423 Mn, up 17% YoY; PAT was ₹712 Mn, up 11%; AUM was ₹502 Bn, up 14%.
VNB increased 24% to ₹2,658 Mn; VNB margin rose to 21.3% from 19.6%.
Net premium income was ₹255,316 lakh in Q2 and ₹460,068 lakh in H1, versus ₹225,973 lakh and ₹391,316 lakh YoY, respectively.
H1 operating cash flow was ₹166,606 lakh versus ₹77,783 lakh; investing cash flow was an outflow of ₹174,523 lakh versus ₹112,458 lakh.
Outlook and guidance
Priorities include deeper penetration in Canara Bank branches, expanded HSBC reach, and growth through agency, RRB, digital and defence channels.
India’s low insurance penetration and pension coverage, growing working-age population and rising retail lending support long-term opportunities in protection, retirement and credit life.
