Centerra Gold Inc. engages in the acquisition, exploration, development, and operation of gold and copper properties in North America, Asia, and internationally. It operates through the following segments: Centerra Gold, Mount Milligan Mine, Kumtor Mine, and Other Operations. The company owns and manages producing gold mines in northwestern British Columbia; and operates a small open pit heap leach mining operation on its Dunmore property located approximately 45 kilometers west of Stewart, British Columbia. It has two joint ventures that operate the Batagay and Kupol outcrop-style gold mines within northwestern Russia. The company has interests in the Kumtor gold mine along with Turquoise Hill Resources Ltd., which is one of the largest gold producers by volume in Central Asia; and owns 100 percent interest of the Centrera PLS mine located near Revelstoke Mountain Resort in southeastern British Columbia.
