CF Industries Holdings, Inc. manufactures and sells hydrogen and nitrogen products for energy, fertilizer, emissions abatement, and other industrial activities worldwide. It operates in two segments, Nitrogen Fertilizer and Industrial Gases. The Nitrogen Fertilizer segment produces ammonia, urea ammonium nitrate, nitric acid, anhydrous ammonia, calcium ammonium nitrate, ammonium nitrate solutions, urea solutions, and polymers. This segment sells its products to the agricultural sector through its ammonia plants as well as to feedstock customers; powers methanol production with CO; and supplies gaseous fuels primarily to emitters of nitrogen oxides under long-term supply contracts. The company was founded in 1946 and is headquartered in Deerfield, Illinois.
