Sustainability framework

• Sustainability is embedded in strategy, governance, operations and products, with reporting across Environment, Social, Governance, and Data and Digitisation pillars.

• KPI selection follows double materiality and assessment of impacts, risks and opportunities; indicators are mapped to six capitals and the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals.

• ESGDD disclosures align with GRI, SASB, TCFD, NZBA, PRB, Equator Principles and CDP, and include an ESG Data Pack and ecological footprint information.

Sustainable finance and risk

• Direct E&S project credit exposure was EGP 104.331bn at end-Q1 2026, equal to 21.24% of the total direct lending portfolio under CBE classifications.

• Funding for climate and transition finance includes an IFC US$100mn green bond, an IFC US$50mn senior loan plus US$50mn equivalent from own resources, an EBRD US$50mn facility and PROPARCO €70mn.

• An IFC partnership supports client decarbonization; technical assistance with GIZ is supporting development of an inclusive retail EV financing product.

• The Environmental and Social Risk Management System applies due diligence across the lending portfolio, based on internal standards aligned with IFC, EBRD and Equator Principles.
