CVR Partners, LP, together with its subsidiaries, engages in the production and sale of nitrogen fertilizer products in the United States. It operates through two segments, Nitrogen Fertilizer Production and Marketing; and Natural Gas Liquids Storage, Gathering and Transportation. The company produces primarily ammonia and UAN, which are commercialized in concentrated liquid solutions and as solid product, respectively; and sells natural gas liquids. Its ammonia is used as a feedstock in the production of urea ammonium nitrate solution, which is used as a nitrogen fertilizer for corn, wheat, sorghum, soybeans, cotton canola rapeseed reaped rape seed and rice.
