The Company operates through two segments, Internal Networks and External Networks. The Internal Networks segment offers programming across various distribution platforms, including linear television and video on demand (VOD) services. This segment features lifestyle media brands, such as Food Network, HGTV, Travel Channel, Discovery Channel, and TLC; science, adventure, natural history, sports and family programming networks comprising Animal Planet, Science Channel and American Heroes Channel; ID: Investigation Discovery; MotorTrend; Discovery Family Channel; and Destination America. The External Networks segment offers portfolio of international pay-television brands consisting of Eurosport and its pan-regional brand Discovery. It also delivers programming across multiple channels operated by joint ventures.
