Executive summary
Revenue for the year ended 30 June 2025 was £175.2m, nearly flat year-over-year, with a 0.3% decrease compared to 2024.
Operating profit before acquisition adjustments rose 1.7% to £32.9m, and operating profit increased 4.7% to £32.1m.
Profit before tax grew 5.9% to £31.6m, and basic EPS increased 4.6% to 21.69p.
Thorlux and Zemper delivered strong performances, while Lightronics and SchahlLED underperformed.
Cash reserves, including short-term financial assets, increased to £61.8m from £52.9m, despite share buybacks.
Financial highlights
Gross profit was £84.1m, down from £85.4m the previous year.
Net cash generated from operating activities was £33.2m, down from £41.4m, reflecting the absence of a prior year working capital benefit.
Total dividend for the year increased 5.0% to 7.12p per share.
Return on sales reached 19%.
Cash and cash equivalents at year-end were £42.98m.
Outlook and guidance
The new financial year started with revenues and order book similar to the prior year.
Management is targeting growth, with a focus on improving Lightronics and SchahlLED.
The Board remains open to selective acquisitions to support growth.
