Kopin Corporation is operating in the development of innovative display technologies and solutions. The Company’s patents include ten 5G patents with additional patents pending and have been issued by the United States Patent Office and its counterparts in Japan and the People’s Republic of China. The company, through its subsidiaries and joint venture, is engaged in the research, development, engineering and manufacture of microdisplays for use in pico projectors, head-mounted displays and near-eye display products. Complete products have included video headset systems for military applications. In addition to image processing semiconductors providing higher resolution images on microdisplay engines for military head mounted applications Kopin has begun transitioning its technology towards the fast growing consumer electronic market with its introduction of two different lines of smaller headset displays capable of connecting to smart phones. With this technology advanced display solutions are currently being introduced to a broader consumer base.
