Net sales for the first half ended September 30, 2025, rose 0.7% year-over-year to ¥393,930 million, but operating profit fell 19.2% and profit attributable to owners of parent dropped 35.5% year-over-year.
Automotive market production volumes increased in North America and China, while Japan and Thailand saw marginal growth.
Demand for high-capacity HDDs for data centers supported growth in the data communications segment.

U.S. additional tariffs expected to reduce profit by ¥600 million, with efforts to pass costs to customers.
