Executive summary
Net sales for 2Q FY2026 were ¥19,967 million, down 1.8% year-over-year, mainly due to production cutbacks and currency effects.
Operating income rose 27.6% to ¥1,122 million, driven by improved gross margin and cost reductions.
Profit attributable to owners doubled to ¥1,520 million, up 100.4% year-over-year.
Net income per share increased 106.1% year-over-year to ¥118.62.
Financial highlights
Ordinary income for 2Q FY2026 was ¥1,331 million, up 17.5% year-over-year.
Gross profit increased to ¥4,318 million from ¥4,219 million year-over-year.
Comprehensive income was negative ¥189 million, compared to ¥3,034 million in the prior year, mainly due to foreign currency translation losses.
Cash and cash equivalents at the end of 2Q FY2026 were ¥22,385 million, up ¥561 million from the beginning of the year.
Capital adequacy/equity ratio remained strong at 80.3% as of September 30, 2025.
Outlook and guidance
FY2026 net sales are forecast at ¥39,500 million, a 1.3% decrease from FY2025.
Operating income is projected to rise 9.4% to ¥1,950 million, and profit attributable to owners is expected to increase 33.3% to ¥2,030 million.
Net income per share is forecast to grow 36.6% to ¥158.34.
