The company owns or controls approximately 2 billion tons of proven and probable coal reserves located in the United States, including the largest portfolio of three high quality coal basins in the United States' main producing regions: the Powder River Basin in Wyoming and Montana that accounts for approximately 1 billion tons of the company's reserves and the Illinois Basin and Northern Appalachia.
