Executive summary
Global gross business reached ₹27.19 trillion as of June 2025, up 11.6% year-over-year, with deposits up 12.9% and advances up 9.8%.
Operating profit for Q1 FY26 was ₹7,081 crore, up 7.6% YoY, and net interest income rose 1% YoY to ₹10,587.8 crore.
Net profit declined to ₹1,675 crore, impacted by a one-time tax provision from migration to the new tax regime.
Asset quality improved with GNPA at 3.78% and NNPA at 0.38% as of June 2025.
Digital initiatives led to over 95% of transactions being digital, with UPI and WhatsApp banking users more than doubling YoY.
Financial highlights
Total income for Q1 FY26 was ₹37,232 crore, up 15.7% YoY, while total expenses rose 17.8% to ₹30,150 crore.
Net interest margin (NIM) was 2.84% (domestic) and 2.7% (global), both below guidance but expected to improve.
Profit before tax rose 28.3% YoY to ₹6,758 crore.
Return on assets at 0.3%–0.38%, return on equity at 6.59% for Q1 FY26.
Earnings per share (not annualized) at ₹1.46.
Outlook and guidance
NIM guidance maintained at 2.8%–2.9% for FY26, with improvement expected from Q3.
Credit growth guidance remains at 11%–12%, with a strong pipeline of sanctioned but undisbursed loans.
Credit cost expected to remain well below 0.5% for the year.
Recovery target of ₹16,000 crore for FY26, with technical write-offs contributing ₹6,000 crore.
CASA share expected to remain above 38%.
