Smart Wires Technology Ltd. provides transmission grid technology solutions for the electric power industry. The company offers overcurrent and overvoltage protection devices, such as impulse current limiter products that mitigate current flow in the primary protection of transmission lines; detachable fuse cutout products, which are designed to isolate power line conductors from their supporting structures and provide protection against secondary faults; disconnectable arresters, an industrial solution that detaches faulted conductor sections and/or arresters without compromising distribution system reliability or safety; and reclose-isolate-fault locate units; and permanent fault indicators, a self-contained intelligence unit capable of detecting overhead line faults, as well as collecting and communicating line performance data. It also develops modular series compensation equipment, including the Modular Series Compensator (MSC) product family, an autonomous distributed equipment located on the transmission grid. Smart Wires Technology Ltd. was founded in 2010 and is headquartered in Union City, California.
