Tecogen Inc. designs, manufactures, markets, and maintains industrial and commercial cogeneration systems for residential, commercial, recreational and industrial use. The company's products include gas engines that generate power used to fuel the steam producers to produce steam; gas turbines that generate power used to drive electrical generators to supply electricity directly through an alternating current electric power grid; boilers that utilize a combination of natural gas and the waste heat from the gas engines or gas turbines to create steam-based heat; and combined heat and power systems that operate using a single fuel source to provide heat as well as electricity in a single integrated system.
