Thunderbird Entertainment Group Inc. develops, produces, and distributes film and television programs internationally. It operates through two segments: Kids & Global Content (KGC) and Control Holdings (Control). The KGC segment produces preschool series such as “Esme and Roy”; factual entertainment series; documentaries; high-end science drama series “Frankie Drake Mysteries”; and television movies under the Thunderbird brand. This segment also develops animation content for streaming platforms; lifestyle and reality television programs that include co-productions with US broadcasters; reformats reality TV exported globally; and co-develops scripted content. The Control segment manages principal investment activities comprising development capital investments in certain subsidiaries primarily involved in production financing. The company was formerly known as Thunderbird Films Inc. and changed its name to Thunderbird Entertainment Group Inc. in March 2016.
