7 Oct, 2026Commercial agreement
Signed a five-year agreement with Huntsville, the first SAPPHIRE participant converted to a commercial customer and the fourth U.S. customer; largest U.S. deployment to date.
AUD 500,000 minimum contracted value covers Salix Coronary Anatomy only; additional per-scan revenue is priced for plaque and flow, with flow subject to FDA clearance.
Huntsville’s network spans 15 hospitals and 19 heart centers; it performs 9,000–10,000 scans annually, with roughly 80% of scans at its main center.
Salix will replace HeartFlow for plaque, and Huntsville plans to move general CCTA reporting from TeraRecon to Salix; flow will replace HeartFlow once cleared.
Deployment and utilization
Focus shifts to execution: integrate with hospital IT systems, train cardiology staff, establish pre-authorization reimbursement workflows, go live at the main site, then scale across the network.
Plaque is intended to be available from go-live; management’s utilization goal is 65%–70%, with pre-authorization expected to support uptake.
Implementation timing varies by customer IT processes and clinician support; Huntsville wants to move quickly, but no go-live date was set.
Pre-authorization launched at Tanner in the prior quarter; the standardized workflow is being extended to Northeast Georgia, Huntsville, Cone Health and future customers.
Commercial plaque coverage was estimated at 75% of covered lives; a traffic-lighting release is in development to further automate pre-authorization.
U.S. commercial strategy
Huntsville validates the SAPPHIRE pathway from clinical pilots to commercial adoption; five other SAPPHIRE health systems are progressing through varying stages of commercial maturity.
All SAPPHIRE partners are aware of Salix and using it at different levels; inbound interest from health systems outside the program is also adding to the U.S. pipeline.
Huntsville’s CCTA volumes are growing at more than 20% YoY; management linked wider CT-first adoption to higher scan volumes and demand for workflow efficiency.
The platform combines anatomy with plaque and, pending clearance, flow in one reporting workflow; management highlighted real-time results and fewer standalone solutions as differentiators.
