14 Oct, 2026Commercial reach and strategy
PSC Biotech appointed sole sales agent for APAS® Independence in pharmaceutical manufacturing across the US, Canada and Singapore, expanding access to regional and mid-tier manufacturers.
The channel complements direct Land & Expand sales to global pharmaceutical accounts; PSC Biotech refers qualified leads, while pricing and sales closure remain under direct control.
PSC Biotech’s network of more than 1,000 customers and 500+ employees is expected to expand qualified opportunities; instrument-sales uplift is expected from FY28 onward.
APAS® Independence is deployed or under evaluation at eight of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies.
Agreement terms and economics
Agreement executed 13 October 2026 for an initial 36 months, with a 24-month extension option by mutual agreement.
PSC Biotech earns commissions on hardware sales from accepted, referred opportunities; payment is due 30 days after customer payment, with ongoing software and service revenues excluded.
PSC Biotech must raise a purchase order for one instrument within 90 days; either party may terminate on three months’ written notice, with commissions applying to qualifying sales completed within nine months after termination or expiry.
Market and product case
PSC Biotech cited a $500bn U.S. onshoring market for essential medicines and key starting materials; sterile capacity adds environmental-monitoring and plate-reading requirements.
APAS automates manual environmental-monitoring plate reading, addressing labor intensity, subjectivity and recurring data-integrity findings while freeing microbiology staff for higher-value work.
APAS is media-agnostic, offering a cost advantage over some competing solutions that use expensive proprietary media.
APAS is the only U.S. FDA-cleared AI technology for automated cell-culture plate reading.
Plate volumes generally rise with facility size and activity; monitoring requirements increase with cleanroom classification and risk, with Grade A highest and Grade D or non-classified lowest.
