15 Oct, 2026Project overview
Haib is a 100%-owned, advanced open-pit Cu/Mo/Au porphyry project in southern Namibia, with a history of exploration by Falconbridge, Rio Tinto and Teck.
The project is presented as scalable and long-life, with conventional sulfide flotation planned for higher-grade material and possible heap-leach copper cathode production from lower-grade oxide material.
More than 120 km of historical drilling and a 55,000 m infill program underpin ongoing resource conversion and project optimization.
Resource and exploration
The March 2026 MRE reports 744 Mt indicated at 0.28% CuEq and 579 Mt inferred at 0.24% CuEq.
Indicated resources include 389 Mt high grade at 0.36% Cu and 355 Mt low grade at 0.19% Cu; inferred resources include 182 Mt high grade at 0.35% Cu and 397 Mt low grade at 0.19% Cu.
September 2026 CuEq drilling included HM185: 236 m at 0.57%, including 10 m at 1.08%; HM160: 74 m at 0.61%, including 8 m at 1.74%.
Regional exploration is planned to reassess historical targets, including Haib East, South, Southwest and West, using mapping, sampling and geophysical work.
PEA economics
The September 2025 PEA outlines a 23-year mine life, 92,000 tpa average payable Cu production in the first 10 years and 88,000 tpa over the LOM.
At a US$4.30/lb Cu price assumption and 8% discount rate, after-tax NPV8 is US$1.351bn, IRR 20.1% and payback 3.9 years.
PEA development capital is US$1.559bn, excluding US$159m of heap-leach and SX/EW capital in years 2 and 3; first-10-year C1/AISC costs are US$1.81/lb and US$2.05/lb.
The PEA case uses a 28 Mtpa mill/float operation above 0.225% Cu and 7 Mtpa heap leach above 0.15% Cu, based on the historical MRE.
