Q2 2024 earnings summary
7 Apr, 2026Executive summary
Core telecom business maintained strong momentum in Q2 and H1 2024, with robust commercial results, strong customer additions, and ARPO growth across all key services.
Investments in mobile and fixed infrastructure, including accelerated 5G rollout and fiber expansion, supported commercial success.
Digital sales channels reached a 24% share in H1 2024, up from 20% in FY 2023, nearing the 25% strategic target.
Results were impacted by a cyclical slowdown in ICT/IT demand and lower energy trade revenue.
Launch of Orange Business Metaverse to market smart city services and drive innovation.
Financial highlights
Q2 2024 revenues were PLN 3,123 million, down 3.1% year-over-year; H1 2024 revenues were PLN 6,204 million, down 2.5% year-over-year, reversing the growth trend seen in 2023.
EBITDAAL grew 3.8% year-over-year in Q2 to PLN 854 million and 4.3% in H1 to PLN 1,653 million, driven by core telecom services and cost efficiencies.
Net income for Q2 was PLN 231 million (down 3% year-over-year); H1 net income was PLN 458 million (down 10% year-over-year), mainly due to higher finance costs and lower gains on asset sales.
Economic CapEx in H1 was PLN 800 million, up 25.3% year-over-year, reflecting increased investment in 5G and fiber networks.
Organic cash flow in H1 was PLN 411 million, broadly similar to last year.
Outlook and guidance
Full-year 2024 revenue expected to be flat or slightly decline by low single digits, mainly due to energy and ICT/IT headwinds.
EBITDAAL growth guidance upgraded to low- to mid-single-digit percentage for 2024, supported by core telecom and efficiency gains.
eCapEx guidance remains at PLN 1.7–1.9 billion for the year.
Preparations underway for a new midterm strategy to be presented in early 2025.
