Corporate presentation summary
26 May, 2026Market opportunity and unmet need
Global obesity and overweight population exceeds 1 billion, with a US addressable market over 100 million and a total market opportunity above $100 billion.
Only about 5 million US patients are currently on injectable GLP-1 treatments, representing less than 5% of the addressable market.
Oral small molecules are positioned to capture 25-50% of the obesity market by 2030, driven by patient and prescriber preference for oral therapies.
Non-specialists, such as PCPs, account for 75% of obesity prescriptions and favor oral medications for ease of use.
Product differentiation and advantages
Oral small molecules offer advantages over oral peptides: no fasting, easier manufacturing, lower cost of goods, and better scalability.
Aleniglipron, a selective oral GLP-1 receptor agonist, is designed for once-daily dosing, dose flexibility, room temperature storage, and fixed-dose combination potential.
Demonstrates proportional pharmacokinetics up to 240 mg, with no evidence of weight loss plateau.
Clinical efficacy and safety data
Phase 2b ACCESS trial: 11.3% placebo-adjusted mean weight loss at 36 weeks with 120 mg; dose-dependent reductions observed.
Exploratory ACCESS II: up to 15.3% weight loss at 240 mg, with no plateau and proportional PK exposure.
Clinically meaningful improvements in blood pressure and HbA1c were observed.
Tolerability profile consistent with GLP-1RA class; most GI-related AEs occurred early and were mild to moderate.
Lower 2.5 mg starting dose further improved tolerability, with no treatment discontinuations due to AEs in interim analysis.
No drug-induced liver injury, no significant off-target safety signals, and no QTc prolongation observed.
