Executive summary
Profit after tax was €927m for H1 2025, with a 21.4% return on tangible equity and a CET1 ratio of 16.4%, marking the first results as a fully privatized company in over 15 years.
Net interest income declined 10% year-over-year to €1,874m, with a net interest margin of 2.78%.
Interim dividend of €263m resumed, the first in 17 years, and the Irish State fully exited the share register, with €20.5bn returned to the State.

Operating expenses rose 3% to €979m, resulting in a cost/income ratio of 44%.
Gross loans increased 1% to €71.6bn; customer accounts rose 2% to €112.5bn.
Asset quality remained resilient, with an ECL coverage rate of 1.9% and a non-performing exposure (NPE) ratio of 2.8%.
EPS was €0.39, benefiting from buybacks; dividend per share was €12.32.

Net interest income for 2025 expected to exceed €3.6bn, with other income at €750m and cost growth guided at 3%.
Cost of risk expected within 20–30bps; asset and deposit growth forecast at 3% for 2025.
Return on tangible equity for 2025 expected to exceed 20%, with a medium-term target upgraded to above 15%.
Five-year CAGR for loan book growth maintained at 5% through 2027.
