Eagle Point Credit Company Inc. is a closed ended fund launched and managed by Eagle Point Credit Management LLC. The fund is co-managed by Magnetar Capital LLC. It invests in the fixed income markets of the United States. The fund primarily invests in senior secured loans and other credit instruments including collateralized loan obligation (CLO) positions. It seeks to invest in senior secured loans which are fully amortizing, floating rate term loans made to companies rated below investment grade with no more than 6 months remaining maturity at the time of purchase. The fund employs fundamental analysis focusing on factors such as company's management, quality of assets, sector position and prospects, relative value and overall liquidity to create its portfolio. It benchmarks the performance of its portfolio against the S&P/LSTA Leveraged Loan Index.
