Flagship Communities Real Estate Investment Trust is a newly-created, internally-managed, unincorporated, open-ended real estate investment trust established pursuant to a declaration of trust under the laws of the Province of Ontario. The Company is focused on acquiring and managing primarily multi-family residential properties located in Canada. Through its portfolio of real estate holdings, the Company intends to generate long-term growth in both funds from operations and securityholders' equity per unit by increasing occupancy rates and rents as well as increasing property rents through redevelopment activities; making acquisitions that increase the overall value of its property portfolio; pursuing future value-creating opportunities including joint ventures or strategic partnerships; participating in available tax deferred exchanges such as Section 1031 Exchanges; and through selecting properties with rental guarantees.
