Executive summary
Profit after tax rose 15.5% year-over-year to INR 127.68 billion (₹12,768 crore), with consolidated PAT up 15.9% to INR 135.58 billion (₹13,557.60 crore).
Core operating profit increased 13.6% year-over-year to INR 175.05 billion (₹17,505 crore).
Total deposits grew 12.8% year-over-year to INR 1,608,517 crore, with average deposits up 11.2%.
Domestic loan portfolio expanded 12% year-over-year to INR 1,331,196 crore, with retail loans up 6.9%.
Board approved results for Q1-2026; auditors issued unmodified reports.
Financial highlights
Net interest income increased 10.6% year-over-year to INR 216.35 billion (₹21,635 crore); NIM at 4.34% for Q1 FY26.
Non-interest income (excluding treasury) grew 13.7% year-over-year to INR 72.64 billion (₹7,264 crore); fee income up 7.5%.
Provisions for the quarter were INR 18.15 billion (₹1,815 crore), 10.4% of core operating profit and 0.53% of average advances.
Standalone operating profit before provisions at ₹18,745.84 crore, up from ₹16,024.84 crore year-over-year.
Treasury gains were INR 12.41 billion, up from INR 6.13 billion year-over-year.
Outlook and guidance
Management expects continued risk-calibrated profitable growth and market share gains across key segments.
Deposit cost repricing benefits expected to continue in Q2, with full impact of repo rate cuts and savings rate reductions to be seen.
