PrairieSky Royalty Ltd. engages in the exploration and development of natural gas, crude oil, and natural gas liquids. The company also holds interests in approximately 9.8 million acres with petroleum and/or natural gas rights; and 8.5 million acres of gross overriding royalty interests located in the provinces of Alberta, Saskatchewan, British Columbia, and Manitoba. It was formerly known as Encana Corporation and changed its name to PrairieSky Royalty Ltd. in January 2014.
