Q4 19/20 earnings summary
21 Oct, 2026Executive summary
FY20 consolidated revenue rose 6.7% YoY to Rs. 37,183.53 lakh, while EBITDA fell 26.2% to Rs. 5,602.29 lakh and PAT declined 30.4% to Rs. 2,953.48 lakh.
Matchmaking remained the core growth driver; COVID-19 disrupted late-March billings and clouded FY21 plans, while marriage services faced greater demand risk.
Active profiles increased 23.6% YoY to 4.6 million; 96,000 successful matchmaking stories were created during FY20.
Financial highlights
Consolidated operating revenue was Rs. 37,183.53 lakh, up 6.7% YoY; total income was Rs. 37,336.51 lakh.
EBITDA was Rs. 5,602.29 lakh, down 26.2% YoY; PBT was Rs. 3,907.65 lakh, down 33.2%; PAT was Rs. 2,953.48 lakh, down 30.4%.
Marketing expense increased 33.3% to Rs. 10,802.74 lakh; management attributed lower profitability primarily to this growth investment.
Q4 FY20 matchmaking billings reached Rs. 94.7 crore, below the Rs. 100 crore-plus target as lockdown affected the final two weeks of March.
Outlook and guidance
COVID-19’s duration and magnitude remained uncertain, putting original FY21 growth plans at risk; management planned continued monitoring and impact mitigation.
FY21 priorities included strengthening North and West markets, deepening top communities, improving Assisted and Elite services, assessing vernacular products and global markets, and investing in differentiated technology.
Strong liquidity, cost optimization, business continuity and near-100% work from home were cited as supports for operating through disruption and investing selectively.
